Mr. Lakpa Geljen Sherpa

Namaste! I am Lakpa Geljen Sherpa, a professional mountaineer, 7-time Everest summiteer, and the Founder of Himalayan Karma Treks. With decades of experience in high-altitude mountaineering and Himalayan expeditions, I have completed 14 climbs above 8,000 meters, dedicating my life to the mountains and helping climbers achieve their dreams safely.

Throughout my mountaineering career, I have had the privilege of guiding adventurers from around the world to some of the highest peaks on Earth. My experience in extreme altitude environments, expedition leadership, mountain safety, and Himalayan guiding has allowed me to support climbers with confidence, dedication, and professionalism.

One of the proudest moments of my journey came in 2006 and 2007, when I successfully guided the first Filipino Everest summiteers, Leo Oracion and Erwin “Pastor” Emata, to the summit of Mount Everest. This historic achievement became an important milestone in mountaineering history and reflected my commitment to helping climbers achieve extraordinary goals.

After years of professional climbing and expedition leadership, I founded Himalayan Karma Treks with a vision to provide safe, authentic, and unforgettable trekking and mountaineering experiences in Nepal. Through our company, I aim to share the beauty of the Himalayas, Sherpa culture, and Nepal’s incredible mountain heritage with travelers from around the world.

Whether it is trekking to Everest Base Camp, exploring the Annapurna region, or joining high-altitude Himalayan expeditions, my goal is to ensure every traveler experiences Nepal with trusted guidance, safety, local expertise, and genuine hospitality.
